How to become professional hairstyler

We know that style is become important things in our life. Not just for our appeareance but also to spport our performance like working performance.

To become a hairstylist, you need to research beauty colleges. This will help you find the right one for you by asking about the cost, your tools, the length of the schooling, and what requirements they need from you. Looking this up on yahoo or google is easiest. If you don’t have a computer then try to get in to your local library.

Some things you should know before applying to the school is the process in which you graduate with your certificate(you do not get your license from beauty college). When you start beauty school, you will begin in the freshmen class… At the school I went to, there was a separate room for the freshmen. When you are just starting you are in this room to learn the book work first, before you can work on the clients that come in. Most schools have a certain amount of hours they want you to fulfill before taking a test to get out on the senior floor. The test you take is both written and practical. In the practical part of the test, you have to perform procedures of everything you learned in the freshmen room.

The model you choose is your choice, but choose carefully. Make sure the model has not been through beauty college before, doesn’t have lice, doesn’t have acne or any pimple on their face the day of the test, their skin doesn’t redden easily, have any skin disease, doesn’t have long hair… All of these factors would disqualify them as a model and you would be unable to take your practical test. The suitable length of their hair is a little above the shoulders and higher. Too short would be to their jawline. Your model will not be able to read, talk, or give you any signals… This would fail you. Make sure you talk to your model ahead of time and tell them not to even flinch if you hurt them. It would be easier if you justdon’t hurt them. Talk to them before your test and consider how they want their hair cut, also tell them that all chemical procedures are strictly application. The color is imitated by shaving cream and perm solution is actually water.

After you pass your freshmen boards(test), you will pick a station on the senior floor. The senior floor is where clients come in and get their hair done. This is what you do for the remainder of your time at school. This is about 1400 hours. You will have a sheet to fill out each day, to keep track of all the services you’ve done. You will also need to get this paper signed by an instructor after every service. When you don’t have clients(which is most of the time) you will work on your doll head. At the end of your time on the senior floor, you will be required to take a senior board in order to graduate and receive your certificate… This test is exactly the same as the one before except now you will be required to perform a chemical straightening service.

This some beauty school’s process to become professional hairstyler. Not so simple but also not so hard. More important things that beauty styler become a profession which has great prospect in the future.
